Vaccination is one of the easiest and vital ways to protect the health of your dog or cat. Whether or not you board your pet, they should have regular vaccinations, especially rabies. If you take your dog to the dog park, walk it in your neighborhood or have neighborhood dogs visiting your yard, your dog is exposed to potential viruses. Same for your cat if you let it outside or it escapes from your home. A vet will vaccinate your pets based on their needs. It is your responsibility to know when your pet's vaccinations need renewed. It is NOT a ONE TIME deal! Most vaccinations need renewed yearly.
If you are planning to board your pet, the required vaccinations should be given at least two weeks prior to boarding. If your pet's vaccinations expire during the time you wish to board you need to update them before boarding.
If you are a new boarding client we need to see your vaccination records prior to boarding. You must bring in the receipt on the vet's letterhead, NOT the little folders on which you check off the shots. We can not accept vaccinations you have administered yourself.
Your pet is depending on you to keep them as healthy as possible.
